Renowned Actor Pat Finn, a versatile actor, Famed For Appearances in The Middle and Friends, Passes Away at the Age of Sixty.
US actor Pat Finn, who was seen in popular television series like Friends, "Seinfeld" and The Middle, has died aged 60.
The comedic improv actor died at home in Los Angeles on Monday having undergone treatment for cancer from 2022 onward, per reports.
"Pat considered no one a stranger - only friends he had yet to meet," his loved ones stated in a announcement.
They noted that he had "lived his life fully - with happiness and energy".
A Notable Career on Screen
His initial on-screen part was on the George Wendt Show in the mid-90s, where he portrayed the lead character's sibling.
He was also seen in a repeating character on "Murphy Brown" from 1995 to 1997.
He played the part of the character Joe Mayo in the show Seinfeld in 1998, portraying a social organizer famous for delegating unpleasant chores to his guests.
Throughout the end of the 90s and start of the 2000s, he had guest spots on numerous hit series, such as:
- The King of Queens
- Friends
- That '70s Show
- "House"
He was most recognized for playing Bill Norwood in "The Middle", featuring across eight series between 2011 and 2018.
His work in movies encompass It's Complicated and Santa Paws 2: The Santa Pups.
Beyond the Screen
Away from his television work, Finn was an improv performer and served as an educator at the University of Colorado, where he was an adjunct professor.
He was a member of a six-person improv troupe known as Beer Shark Mice.
"Finn coached, befriended and mentored numerous pupils during his career and it would be difficult to find a person anyplace who has anything negative to say about him," his loved ones expressed.
In a tribute, fellow actor actor Richard Kind noted there was "no kinder, gentler, funnier, grounded individual you could encounter".
"Consistently upbeat, helping you be funnier and better. An excellent dad and person," he posted publicly.
Pat Finn is leaves behind his partner Donna, three children, and his mother, father, and brothers/sisters.
